STV Central aerial information

If you are watching a main transmitter in this region, you may need a wideband aerial to receive all the available digital TV channels after switchover (after the stage 2 date). Many people will already have a wideband aerial.

Check for details below to see which aerial you will need to receive around 15 or more than 40 channels. The 15 channels include the public service channels BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, C4 (plus S4C in Wales) and Five and a range of associated digital channels such as ITV2, E4 and BBC Three.

Please note: These are the aerial requirements for after switchover (the stage 2 date)

Find a Registered Digital Installer

Look for a Registered Digital Installer (RDI) with the digital tick logo – this means they have been trained and security checked. If you can't find one, look for an installer with associate RDI or CAI Plus status, or ask your local electrical retailer. To find a Registered Digital Installer, visit www.rdi-lb.tv.

Do not attempt to adjust the aerial yourself. Seek advice from a good aerial installer or retailer.
