Sudbury transmitter group

The Sudbury transmitter and its 8 relays (known as a transmitter group) has completed the switch to digital.


What happens after switchover?


If you are watching the Sudbury transmitter group using Freeview, Top Up TV or BT Vision, you will need to re-tune your equipment on the 27 June 2012 to ensure that you continue to receive all available Freeview channels. Please check the list below to see when you are likely to have your service restored:


  • Clacton - Mid-morning
  • Wivenhoe Park - Mid-afternoon
  • Woodbridge - Mid-afternoon
  • Felixstowe- Mid-morning
  • Burnham on Crouch - Mid-morning

This re-tune is necessary as part of the technical changes for the digital switchover.


The Sudbury transmitter group relays:

Burnham on Crouch Felixstowe Rouncefall Wivenhoe Park
Clacton Ipswich Stoke Somersham Woodbridge

Am I affected by the Sudbury transmitter group switchover?

You are affected if you receive your TV signal through your aerial from the Sudbury transmitter group
