Aerials, group changes

At Wenove, all muxes move into the analogue aerial group by the end of DSO programme;

At Pontypool all muxes move into the analogue aerial group at DSO;

At all relays, all muxes remain within the analogue aerial group, except at:

  • Cwmfelinfach and Usk: BBC B is just above the analogue aerial group so reception may be unreliable without an aerial upgrade. As this is the HD mux requiring DVB-T2 receivers, viewers are advised to wait and see before upgrading their aerials.
  • Rhondda HP: the new channels are below the analogue aerial group.  Existing analogue antennas should be satisfactory.

Aerials, communal systems

Channel changes at - Wenvoe, Abercynon, Cwmfelinfach, Aberdare, South Tredegar, Pontypool, Usk, Machen Upper, Rhondda and Crumlin mean that channelised aerial systems will need to be reconfigured at DSO1 and DSO2.

Adjacent transmitter groups

A household in Cardiff, Newport or south east Wales is most likely to be watching the Wenvoe transmitter group. However, they could also be watching the Huntshaw Cross, Mendip, Ridge Hill or Sutton Coldfield transmitter groups
