The Selkirk transmitter and its 11 relays serving Scottish Borders made the switch in two stages:
At stage 1 (DSO1) – 6 November 2008
BBC Two analogue was switched off and the first BBC multiplex was launched.
At stage 2 (DSO2) – 20 November 2008
All other analogue and low powered digital services ceased broadcasting permanently and the high powered digital multiplexes launched.

Ofcom confirmed that there were no licensed digital self-helps in the Selkirk transmitter group.

At this transmitter group, the channels used to broadcast pre digital switchover DTT are all within the same aerial group - group C/D.
At DSO, homes recieving TV from Galashiels or Jedburgh could revert to a group B aerial but their existing group E or wideband aerial will be satisfactory.
Channel changes at Eyemouth meant that channelised communal systems needed to be re-tuned at DSO1 and DSO2.
A household in Scottish Borders is most likely to be watching the Selkirk transmitter group. However, they could also be watching the Caldbeck, Black Hill, Craigkelly, Chatton or Darvel transmitter groups.
