The Eitshal transmitter and its 8 relays serving Lewis, Wester Ross, North West Sutherland and parts of Harris and Skye made the switch in two stages:
At Stage 1 (DSO1) - 07 July 2010
BBC Two analogue ceased broadcasting permanently and the first BBC multiplex, Mux BBC A, launched at 8k and 64QAM.
At Stage 2 (DSO2) - 21 July 2010
All other analogue and DTT services ceased broadcasting permanently and high powered digital multiplexes launched at 8k and 64QAM.

At Eitshal, all multiplexes remain within the analogue aerial group A.
At all other relay sites, at switchover, all multiplexes will be within the analogue aerial group.
Channel changes at Ullapool mean that channelised communal systems will need to be reconfigured at DSO2.
A household in Lewis, Wester Ross, North West Sutherland or parts of Harris and Skye is most likely to be watching the Eitshal transmitter group. However, they could also be watching the Keelylang Hill, Rosemarkie, Rumster Forest or Skriaig transmitter groups.
