Technical Events in 2012

Technical Events are those events where it is deemed necessary for multiplexes (BBC A, BBC B, D3&4, SDN, ARQIVA A and ARQIVA B) to change/move frequencies, adopt the 8K and 64QAM transmission modes and adopt final post DSO powers at individual transmitter sites.

These events happen at transmitter sites both pre and post Switchover (DSO). There are varying rationales for these events, including but not limited to - international co-ordination, domestic transmitter interference, release of previously used frequencies, removal of antenna restrictions and so on.
