Sanctuary Group is one of the largest housing associations in the UK with responsibility for around 69,000 homes including over 18,000 where a communal aerial system is in use.
The organisation has made a commitment that all its properties served by communal aerial systems will be upgraded and capable of receiving digital signals at least six months before the switchover date in their TV region. Sanctuary is working closely with their national contractor Avonline to deliver this promise.
Sanctuary has developed a comprehensive and pro-active communications approach for all residents and staff. A guide has been put together for their Customer Service Center that includes a flowchart to help residents with any tuning issues that they may encounter after having the new aerial system installed, with the national contractor available to deal with issues that can't be resolved on line. Closer to the switchover in each region, training will be given to all frontline staff to help resolve any small technical issues. As well as national co-ordinators, the digital switchover project also has a number of temporary local co-ordinators to ensure that the project runs smoothly at a local level. Their local knowledge is seen as vital to the success of the project.
