Mid Devon District Council (MDDC) is a local authority, which provides a Housing Services to its tenants and leaseholders.
MDDC manages around 3100 tenanted homes and 204 leaseholders. Of these, around 660 properties are in blocks/estates and served by a communal aerial system.
We have responsibility for upgrading and maintaining shared communal aerial systems within the stock we manage. We took a proactive and inclusive approach to ensure we were well placed to be ready for the digital switchover.
Tenant, leaseholder and staff consultation was crucial to reassure them about the Switchover. We have issued articles about switchover in our tenant newsletters, website, information stands at road shows, provided literature and invited representatives from Digital UK to talk to our tenant groups and with staff.
Recently Mid Devon District Council has been awarded Digital UK’s Homes Set for Digital Accreditation and praised for our consultation and general approach to the Switchover.
