Broomleigh is part of the Affinity Sutton Group, and based in Bromley, South East London. Broomleigh owns and manages approximately 14,500 homes comprising a wide range of accommodation, from general needs, retirement and supported, intermediate rent, key worker, part buy/part rent and student homes.
We have in the region of 3,300 homes currently linked to a communal aerial system, and it is these properties which are included in our digital upgrade programme.
We initially set up a “core group working party”, that included the various teams within our business that would need to be aware of, and participate in the getting the message out to residents about digital switchover. Each represented team has been responsible for making, updating and actioning their own action plan; these individual plans form “Broomleigh’s Action Plan”.
We are consulting residents on the options available to enable them to receive digital TV, using forums such as leaflet information, coffee mornings, resident meetings in local halls, estate visits etc.
We have procured the contract at Group level, through OJEU, and are ready to award a contract in the near future.
