FAQ

I am a Tenant, how will I know if I am responsible for the aerial in my home?

The first place to look is your tenancy agreement. It should say who is responsible for the installation and upkeep of aerial systems or services to your home. Usually if you live in a house it will be your responsibility to keep your aerial in working order. If you live in a flat and your tenancy agreement doesn’t say anything specifically, you should look at the service charge schedule which should be attached to your agreement. If the costs of a TV aerial are shown in the lists of services for which your landlord makes a charge, then your landlord will usually take responsibility for carrying out the work and charging the costs back to you and the other residents.
