A head-end distribution box receives any 5 digital TV channels in digital and converts them back to analogue. It enables all analogue TVs and VCRs that are connected to the current distribution system to receive the 5 chosen channels after switchover.
This means that there would be no need to buy a digital box for every TV and viewers could use the existing TV remote control.
This option is suitable for hotels, B&Bs, guest house and care homes, however choice is limited and no interactive services are available such as subtitling and audio description.
