FAQ

Will relay transmitters transmit digital TV signals after switchover?

Yes, relay transmitters will carry a digital TV signal after the digital switchover has happened in your TV region. However, some will only carry 20 digital television channels which include BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and Five and their families of channels (the public service mulitplexes) rather than up to 40 channels where the full array of commercial multiplexes are available. If you receive signals through a self help transmitter, you will need to check with the owner (contact Ofcom for details) about the current situation.
