What is Sky digital?
Sky digital offers access to over 200 free digital TV channels and 80 radio channels.
What equipment do I need?
A Sky digital box and minidish (provided free with subscription). Standard installation by Sky engineers costs £30.
How much does it cost?
Sky channel packages range from £16 - £45 a month. You can change your channel package any time, although one month’s notice is required.
Is payment by a one-off cost or by subscription?
Subscription. Minimum 12-month contract required.
How is it installed?
Your equipment is professionally installed and set up for you by a Sky engineer. The equipment is then yours to keep.
What channels and services do I get?
Sky digital gives you access to the leading subscription channels as well as over 200 free digital TV channels (these include terrestrial favourites such as BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4, Five) and 80 radio channels.

- Sky Sports: The UK’s widest range of sports from football to fishing, snooker to cricket.

- News: Breaking news from around the world, covering business, politics, sports and more.
- Knowledge: Documentaries.
- Music: Virtually all types of music covered with over 90 channels and digital radio stations.
- Kids: Educating and entertaining shows for kids of all ages.
Services available for an additional charge:
- Sky+: A TV recorder and digital receiver in one. Sky+ lets you record two programmes at the same time, pause and rewind live TV, record selected series at the touch of a button and store up to 40 hours of programming.
- Sky+ HD: High definition television, offering sharper images, more vibrant colours and up to 4 times the picture detail of normal TV; all the Sky+ features and double the storage capacity of a Sky+ box. HD Mix is required for HD viewing (£10 a month).
- Multi-room: Watch Sky TV in different rooms around your home.
- Other benefits: customer support, interactive TV, seven-day on-screen TV guide, parental control, monthly customer magazine.

Free Sky box offer: You do not have to subscribe to Sky digital. You must enter into an Interactive Discount Contract (IDC). Offer limited to one per household. You are ineligible if you have entered into an IDC or your household has benefited from one or you have entered into a Sky TV month by month equipment offer. Sky selects your equipment.
Installation: Installation costs start from £30
General: Free Sky box/Sky+/Sky+ HD box must be connected to a fixed telephone line for 12 months. Non standard set-up may cost extra. Weekend set-up subject to availability. Sky+/Sky HD boxes may vary if you live in a flat. You must get any consents required (e.g. landlord's). Minimum Sky digital/Sky+/Sky HD subscriptions 12 months. You must be 18 years or over.
