Digital UK was founded in April 2005 at the request of Government, and is owned and jointly funded by the UK’s public service broadcasters (BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five and S4C), and multiplex operators SDN and Arqiva.
The programme structure explains how switchover is implemented by Digital UK and partner bodies.
Digital UK works closely with a wide range of stakeholders including charity partners the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and media operator Ofcom.
