Freeview viewers in parts of Wales and north Devon will need to retune their TV equipment on Wednesday, 22 May to continue receiving all available services. Some channels are moving to new frequencies to prepare for the future rollout of mobile broadband.

  • Freeview offers more than 40 subscription-free television channels, digital radio and interactive services via an aerial.


    High-definition channels from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 are also available if you have a Freeview HD television or digital box.


    With Freeview+ you can record programmes or a whole series at the touch of a button, as well as pause and rewind live TV.


    If you would like extra channels, you may wish to opt for additional subscription or internet connected services, such as Youview, Top Up TV or BT Vision.









  • With Freeview most people will receive more than 40 TV channels; some people around 20, depending on where they live.
